One thing that people ask about Paleo is “What can I snack on?” Well, nuts is one answer. However, you should not eat too much of them: too much phytic acid can be a problem to your health. But, it is true that it can be a good snack.
Following Elana Amsterdam’s recipe, I roasted some pecans, almonds, macadamia nuts and walnuts. You have to be careful not to burn them, like I almost did. I prefer to roast them over the stove instead of the oven for that very reason. At the very end, I dashed some coconut oil (instead of putting it on the spice mixture like Elana does).
